Christmas Update

Thank you for your prayers! It has been an exciting month to say the least!
We had an addition to our team on December 3 in the form of an adorable little girl: Lydia Ann. She is the namesake of the "seller of purple cloth" in Acts 16 who was the door through which God reached entire region of people in Europe. Lydia weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. at birth and was just over 20 inches long. She is doing great, as is Mommy, and Eden and Karis absolutely adore her!

The first 2 Sunday of the month, I had the awesome privilege of speaking in 2 area churches that are considering partnering with us in Calgary: Westminster Baptist here in Westminster and New Hope Baptist in Seneca. Both engagements went great, and God is blessing incredibly through them both! Both teams are sending mission teams this next summer to help us on the ground in Calgary, and both are helping us financially to get there.
I have several more engagements planned in the coming months with churches who are considering partnering with us in one form or another. Please be in prayer for us!
The amount we have to raise to start a church in Calgary has at times seemed overwhelming, but God is confirming His guidance to Calgary daily. Just last week, I had an elderly lady that used to be a neighbor send me a check for $500, and she said that as she was thinking about who to give to, God brought our family to her mind. We are thankful for stories like that which confirm God is in this.
Again, thank you for your prayers! We greatly appreciate them!

Finally, we will be starting a prayer report in January to update our partners on a regular basis. I will post that newsletter to this blog, but if you would rather receive that newsletter by email, please comment or message me and let me know your email address so that I can shoot it straight to your inbox.

Luke 2:15-18
When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us." They hurried off and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the feeding trough. After seeing them, they reported the message they were told about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

Do come and worship Jesus as the shepherds did...but note that they didn't stop there. Make sure to also go and tell.
